Hi....I am back in town, had a short break at the above property with hubby dearest. Today I am going to post based on the 02 trips I went to this resort this year. My first time was end of March 2011 and the recent was over the weekend ( 27 to 29 May 2011 ).
So we will start with the overall hotel......it is situated in the state of Perak, with the land disembark location is called Lumut. From Lumut, you would see PLR's land office where they will do the checking in etc. Upon arrival, they will give you a nice cooling drink and also cold towels after that 03 hours journey from Kuala Lumpur.
After checking in , toilet stop and etc, they will bring you to the jetty which is just 3 minutes away. PLR has their own Speed boat which is at RM80 per person per way....yeah, a bit steep huh ? But nice comfy seats and can accommodate about 12 persons per trip.
As you reach the resort, you can see the resort, beautiful on the island. This island, which i have got no idea, what is the name, has only 1 resort, i.e. Pangkor Laut Resort. Hence why, their tag line is One Resort, One Island.
then once you are the Jetty, you would have customer services personnel, welcoming you and bring you to the lobby. Look at the photo below, the view from the jetty's bridge.
Then at the lobby, again, there would be people waiting for you with drinks, cold towels, greeting here and there....there are bunch of greeters , I can tell you and they will remember your names from the first time they met you !
Now, here, I am going to post some pictures of the places, facilities and etc, and I separate the postings for the rooms. I stayed in 02 different room types for both stay , so might as well, make it into 03 parts. Enjoy the photos of the resort...taken from my little camera :)

Can't help taking a picture of this. They have numbers of pots around the resort with nice flowers arrangements. Nice !
The Library which is behind the reception area. Free Wifi here so you can just bring your lappy or iPad or Tab and etc , then surf while resting here.
They also have 4 computers for you to use if you didn't bring your own gadget.
Books for you to read while at the resort. Few cabinets of books, and different languages too !

Fruit bats on the trees. But they are mostly only at the Beach Villa area.

All guests would be given ice bucket with mineral waters.

There are staffs who actually sweep the beach all day long

The resort also has a Spa Village, few tennis court, a small kiddy place, a small meeting room and few restaurants.
I personally find the place, only meant for adults. The tranquility, the quietness of the place, is good for honeymooners. I don't fancy bringing my children here, for the reason that they can find it rather boring after half a day , knowing children.
Anyway, I will post 02 more postings, for the rooms.
